They collect dust because it's hard to wear them in the modern world despite their beauty. The original for me, was college in the 80's and the rest of that decade. She's not really a perfume person, so this is the only one I really associate with her--her and her favorite "fancy" purple dress. The current version seems quite faithfull to what I remember of this scent. It was a bitter-type aldehyde that did not evolve into anything more appealing. Then the tuberose and carnation start to settle in with a hint of peach and coconut in the background. Perhaps I should hunt down the original Lagerfeld version.
