I was concerned if they would be too tight to make it troublesome to remove the markers but it is easy to pull the markers from the center. It is very well built and is easily transferable when I decide to stamp at my kitchen table while watching tv. This keeps my markers separate for any others that I have and keeps them laying down as stated in the way to keep the markers ink from drying out. it looks really good on my desk.
